  1. 1.Pretty much the same, I am quite fimiliar to this type of information because I did global perspectives last year and this year I have done geography for example the different types of migrants and why the move towards and away from certain countries.
    2. I have learned that over time in countries like the US many migrants in the 1800's from Europe would migrate to the US, now people who migrate the most to the US are countries like Mexico, Cuba, and Mid America.
3.The more given information, more numbers and statistics to deal with are a bit confusing and using specific websites for the most reliable information.

  2. Human migration is the movement by people from one place to another with the intentions of settling, permanently or temporarily in a new location. The movement is often over long distances and from one country to another, but internal migration is also possible; indeed, this is the dominant form globally.
People migrate for a number of reasons. The reasons and causes for migration would normally fall under these areas:

Environmental – Better climate, calamities, and natural disasters are examples of environmental causes or reasons.
Economic – Moving to find work or moving to follow a particular career path is an example of economic cause or reason.
Cultural – Religious freedom and education is an example of cultural cause or reason.
Political – Civil war or escaping from political persecution is an example of political cause or reason.
Social – Moving for a better quality of life or moving closer to a family member or friend is an example of a social cause or reason.

  3. 1) I'm quite familiar with the topic migration so I know pretty much the most important information about it. However, I learned in Geography that it's mostly a "negative" thing.
    2) Something new that I learned is that migration is also positive because migrants have to pay taxes to the government and they do the undesirable jobs for example cleaners, working in industries (jobs that aren't well paid).
    3) More numbers and statistics to deal with are a bit confusing :)))

  4. In knew that people in other countries because of many reasons such as religion, war, jobs, environment... I also knew the difference between migration and immigration, migration is when a person goes in another country and immigration is when the people from your country to to another country. Often people prejudge migrants saying that they are criminals or that they are dirty and poor, but in reality they are a big resource.

  5. CONNECT:I already knew that there are lots of migrants everyday, escaping from their country, not always by free will, but to escape from war and try to search for a better life. Unfortunately there are lots of people that don't accept immigrants, like in Italy, they say that they steal jobs from us and have a better life.
EXTEND:I thought more about where the migrants from each country are more likely to go, such as Africa, they are more likely to go to France, UK, Spain and Italy.
CHALLENGE:The thing that I still don't understand clearly is the fact that there are still some places that don't accept immigrants, because they increase the number of the population and improve culture of a country.

  6. People migrated due to many reasons, such as: religion, war, environment, jobs, to find better opportunities, or due to family reasons. Migration and immigration are also two different things, as migration means to go out of your native country,on the other hand, immigration, is when a person enters another country where they aren't native to. Often people prejudge migrants, telling the same old stories "they don't work" or the classic "they come here to steal our jobs", these factors often lead to racism and/or violence.

I already studied in Geography the migration routes from Asia and Africa to Europe
    EXTEND
I understood how the US accepted Italians during the first years of the twentieth century and so now we should accept Africans migrants
    CHALLENGE
Why Europeans should go to africa to escape poverty and overpopulation

  11. I was already aware of the amount of refugees that are fleeing war torn countries, especially to Europe. I also had some knowledge over the number of people migrating to different countries through history, having already learned about the biggest migrations in history. However, some of the information I thought I knew was actually wrong, due to various misinformations and rumours in society that changed my perception of it. For example the amount of immigrants in Italy or the unemployment rate of immigrants. However, I still don’t understand the reason behind some of the Acts, as I consider them wrong and unjustifiable.
